There is a lot to do – and not a lot of time to do it!  This workshop will focus on agency capacity building for administering stimulus dollars for weatherization and CSBG programs. 

 The objective of a capacity-building workshop is to improve the quality of decision-making, program efficiency, and managerial performance in planning and implementation of the organization’s goals and objectives.  When this objective is successfully accomplished, the result is organizations that are more effective, and enhanced delivery of services.  The Stimulus dollars represent a major change in the agency’s operations and therefore, an appropriate time to engage in capacity building.  This workshop will include: 

• Ideas for pursuing alliances with other organizations for service delivery
  
• Key issues to share with Board members regarding changes to the agency
  
• Using this opportunity to generate positive media coverage
  
• Pro’s and con’s of in-house expansion vs. contractual arrangements
  
• Alternatives and options for direct services and program administration.
